A while back, Slashdot solicited questions that they would forward to Neal Stephenson (of Cryptonomicon, Snow Crash, Diamond Age, The Baroque Cycle, etc. fame). They’ve posted his responses and, as always seems to be the case with Stephenson, the results are quite amusing.
