Election Burnout

I’m more than a little relieved that tomorrow marks what has been, for me, a fairly draining election season. I know much of the weariness is of my own doing, but still I have persisted these many months to try to stay on top of the situation.
It’s gotten to the point where I’m just completely overwhelmed. It’s not possible to read all the blogs, to check all the news sites, to peruse all the opinion pieces these days. The best you can do is try to skim a large section and develop a holistic sense of what memes are floating around out there.
I don’t plan on checking many of the political sites tomorrow (we’ll see if I can resist). As of this moment, I simply intend on getting up and attempting to vote as soon as the polls open, then it’s off to work and then the gym after that. I’m going to consciously just try to let it all go, just take a step back and breathe. I don’t plan on posting anything political tomorrow (Wednesday may be a different story, depending…) and, in fact, I have several movie, video game, etc. reviews that I’ve been meaning to post for a while, so I think I’ll name tomorrow “Review Day”.
If you’re looking for a respite from the howling political storms that are sure to erupt throughout the blogosphere tomorrow, I’ll try to offer something different.
