Sick, Disgusting and Inhumane

On my way in to work this morning, NPR ran a story on the Netherlands’ new “youthanasia” policy: the killing of terminally ill infants after they’ve been delivered. It’s not just infants, either. They’re talking about doing this to children up to 12 years of age. We’re distinctly in disgusting Peter Singer utilitarian territory here, people.
The level of callousness which the Dutch official interviewed showed was practically stomach-turning for me. Sadly, due to the utter devaluation of infant life that we’ve bred into our society through the evil of abortion, I can see this coming to the U.S. within the next few years. It’s morally reprehensible in the extreme and angers me so completely I can barely speak.
Disgusting.
UPDATE:
A Yahoo! News story on the issue and the LGF discussion on the issue.
UPDATE 2:
Wizbang and the Captain weigh in on the issue, with the Captain hitting the nail on the head:

I’m reminded of the old joke about the man who offers a million dollars to a woman for her sexual favors. When she assents, he pulls out a hundred-dollar bill and gives it to her. When she throws it back at him and asks, “What kind of a girl do you think I am?”, he replies, “We’ve established what kind of girl you are. Now we’re just negotiating over the price.”
The Netherlands have determined their value of human life. The debate over the Groningen Protocol is just negotiating over the price.
