Réalisé par Michael K. Johnson, un employé de longue de date (historique?) de RedHat, et responsable de Fedora à ses début, l'article est très intéressant. Pour information, Cristian Gafton est le nouveau leader du projet Fedora. L'article débute par la réflexion menée par Red Hat qui a aboutit au projet Fedora (initialement le "Projet Red Hat Linux"). Pas de langue de bois, les aspects financiers et relations avec les partenaires commerciaux sont détaillés. L'article parle souvent de la confusion qu'a créé Red Hat avec la création de Fedora. Il insiste que Fedora n'est pas un moyen pour Red Hat de se "débarrasser" de feu "Red Hat Linux". Fedora est nécessaire à Red Hat pour faire une bonne RHEL qui permet de fait du pognon (comme dit l'article "Red Hat est publiquement une compagnie à caractère commercial non caritatif"). Ensuite il y a une description de Fedora (on retrouve grosso-modo tout ça sur le site officiel). Finalement les travaux en cours et à venir sont décrits. Sur ce dernier point, il y a un peu de langue de bois. Quelques contributeurs ont déjà reprochés la communication de Red Hat.
