This Really Brings Me Back

Back in grade school/middle school, all the ~~geeks~~ cool kids had two things: 1) a Nintendo Entertainment System and 2) a subscription to Nintendo Power. Filled to the brim with tips, tricks, reviews, previews and cheat codes, each bi-monthly issue was highly prized by those geeks in the know.

A smaller feature that ran toward the back of the magazine was a cartoon series called “Howard and Nester”. It followed the adventures of a know-it-all named Howard and a know-nothing kid named Nester.

I hadn’t thought about Nintendo Power or Howard and Nester for years until I stumbled across an online archive of the complete adventures of Howard and Nester. What a trip down memory lane.

To my fellow geeks: go check it out, see if it doesn’t bring back fond memories for you as well.
