Strip-Mining My Childhood For Fun And Profit

Gah. Thanks 94.5 WPST for playing Rihanna's execrable "S.O.S. (Rescue Me)" precisely as I scanned past your station and thus forever tarnishing Soft Cell's "Tainted Love" (hah! Isn't that ironic, in a non-Morrisettian fashion?) in my mind.

Memo to the music industry: You've ruined most of my favorite tunes with spurious remixes. Please don't trash Depeche Mode's "Personal Jesus" - I may have to hunt you down and beat you senseless with old Case Logic CD cases.

Johnny Cash re-did "Personal Jesus" - does that count?

There is a standard Johnny Cash "remix" exemption to almost all of my personal musical clauses, thus he escapes my wrath.

I mean, he was Johnny Cash, fercryinoutloud. "Ring of Fire" covers a raft of musical sins.

Rihanna's pathetic SOS or should I say 2bar loop theft of Depeche mode,s 'Tainted Love'is outright blatent theft by a bimbo who has no songwriting ability whatsoever(it seems).
I am an Ozzy musician who played around the the same circuits as Depeche Mode and have also had my songs sampled and stolen.
These M/F__cker record companies need to be brought to account.
Music used to be about rare talent, musicians who could sing, play instruments well for the length of a song.
    And play live.
I know (being a studio operator)that pitch correction, quantising, harmonising, time stretching can even have my pet dog sounding better than Rihanna's SOS. (And she does need it..help that is)
