Dear Internet
I totally had a few posts in the queue for this afternoon, but my MacBook Pro just arrived. I'll obviously be otherwise occupied for the duration.

So it's readily apparent that my blog output has been woeful as of late. I could come up with a litany of excuses as to why this is so, but truth be told, it's been a case of my heart not being in it.
Suffice it to say that Real Life Concerns have been weighing [...]
As I was attempting to install Server Admin on a Mac today, I came across this beaut of an error message:
Macs: user friendly, my eye.
…Only submachine-gun-packin', wheelchair-ridin', toodles-shootin' outlaw grandmas will have guns:
Heh.
Or is it "hoo-ah!"?
More of the second. Definitely.
…Guy Benson, Mary Katherine Ham and Ed Morrisey, they make it. A pull-quote is in order:
What follows is by no means comprehensive, but it does shed some much-needed light on a number of Obama’s positions, statements, and associations about which he has been less than honest. We’ve attempted to boil each issue down to [...]
Attended a wedding on Saturday — it was fun, but "Jump On It" was played, and yea, there was Apache dancing.
Add a recurring cold into the picture and, to crib a phrase from Steve Jobs, I'm a bag of hurt this morning.
Should be an excellent week. *chuckle*

A Mac user and a Lehigh grad AND a blogger? It is like I am staring into a mirror here.
Another Engineer, eh? What year did you graduate?
Class of '99 here.
Dear Internet…..I like to brag blah blah blah I got another new computer. shaddap. :-P
Never fear, AO, as my uppence has come - the MBP that arrived is malfunctioning - insert a USB drive and it crashes, it doesn't suspend when you close the lid and it runs slow. I'm taking it in to the Apple Store on Monday to see if they can fix (or replace) it.
*sigh*
Trouble in Jobs-land? Oh that is so unlike Apple. Don't worry, at least they won't release new hardware in 1 year and forget about you. Or will they?
Which model is your macbook? my 1.83ghz hasn't had any issues with flash drives
it does have the cpu feedback hiss when you aren't using many cpu clock cycles though
It's the 2.0GHz model. We'll see if the one arriving today displays the same behavior. My officemate got the exact same one and hasn't seen the behavior described, so I'm thinking I simply got a bum model.
