“Forced” Firefox Usage

I’ve recently upgraded my primary desktop at work to a rather beefy AMD FX-55-based box (running the recently-released RedHat Enterprise Linux version 4) and while I love the speed gained by moving to a 64bit processor and scads of RAM, I’m running into some quirks.
For instance, on my old [n’ busted. -ed.] 32bit Intel box (running RedHat Enterprise Linux version 3), my browser of choice was Galeon, a browser that basically puts a GTK+ wrapper around the Gecko rendering engine. I loved some of the auxilliary functionality of Galeon, such as mouse gestures and automatic browser session retention, meaning that if the browser crashed, the next time I started it up, all the tabs that I open previously would be restored. I also used the Mozilla Mail component to keep track of my Inbox.
Now that I’ve moved to 64bit RHEL4, though, I’m being forced onto a strict diet of Firefox and Thunderbird and I’m loving every minute of it. Galeon adamantly refuses to even start up, so I’ve had to give up my previous clutch/crutch browser and the version of Mozilla that is installable for RHEL4 lacks the Mail component, so I’ve had to switch over to Thunderbird. Why have I waited so long to switch?
I’ve been using Firefox nearly exclusively at home, but I have resisted changing over at work, primarily because RedHat didn’t supply a version for RHEL3 and so I had to rely upon the good graces of other packagers out there for my Linux Firefox fix.
To make a long story short [too late! -ed.], both Firefox and Thunderbird are, in a word, awesome. The speed increases in browsing and checking mail alone make it worth the switch and the Web, rendered by an anti-aliasing-equipped FF browser is almost enough to bring a tear to my eye.
So, wait no longer! Make the switch and make it now.

It would be cool if FF reopened the previous tabs after a crash.
I have Thunderbird on my junk computer. It isn’t yet any better at filtering spam than Outlook. Although I would probably switch if I didn’t use Outlook for it’s calendars & contacts.

As soon as I posted thought I figured that there’s probably an extension somewhere… I just hadn’t gotten to looking around yet.
Have you run across anything that will allow tab location to be changed? By that I mean that I want to be able to click and drag a tab to change the overall tab order.
