Science Geeks, Bow Before Your Masters

If you followed the Cassini/Huygens mission to Saturn very closely, you’d remember that one poor scientist’s pet experiment on the Huygens probe bound for Saturn’s moon Titan apparently malfunctioned because someone forgot to turn it on.
Have no fear, though, for scientists on Earth using radio observatories were able to retrieve the “lost” data by measuring the doppler shifts in the other communications signals as Huygens descended to Titan’s surface.
I am in awe and bow before their utter and profound geek hackery. Too cool.
