This comes as welcome news.
For those not in the know, there was a move afoot (lead by the American Bar Association) a few months ago to try to force Catholic hospitals to discuss (and maybe even perform) procedures abhorrent to observant Catholics, such as abortion, sterilization and embryonic stem cell treatments. The reaction to the ABA’s move was so fierce that they’ve been forced to withdraw their support for such a move.
What a relief.
