If you attempted to hit the site this morning/last night, you may have noticed a severe lack of, well, site.
It appears as if the mysql daemon went hogwild and crashed, thus sucking up all available memory, denying access to any and all other processes (including the webserver daemons themselves), hence the downtime.
If you had hit the backup site this morning, you would have seen the announcement I posted re: the downtime. Y’all probably should bookmark that backup site, in case anything similar happens in the future.
Back to work.

I doubt from the links in your side bar that you are running MySQL on a Windows box however I just wanted to make sure you saw the alert below if you are.

Fortunately, the site’s running on RedHat Enterprise w/Apache and mySQL, so it doesn’t appear as if my site will be vulnerable to that particularly nasty crack.
Thanks for the heads up and concern, though. Much appreciated.
