Take one part myth (various and sundry tales of the Spartans), one part history (the Battle of Thermopylae), one part geekage (300, Frank Miller’s miniseries depicting the battle) and one part Hollywood magic (see above trailer or the high-res version at Apple’s site) and you’ve got a wicked-looking movie that just begs to be seen. I know I’m psyched to see it.
Small side note: does the visual style remind anyone else of God of War more than just a little bit? Yeah, me too.
