Presumtion Of Life

According to several stories I’ve heard on the radio recently, in the wake of the Terri Schiavo case, requests to hospitals and government agencies for “boilerplate” living wills have gone up by at least an order of magnitude. My wife forwarded me the following link to the National Right to Life Coalition’s state-by-state list of living wills. Please consider downloading, printing out, filling out and getting witnesses to sign your own living will, as well as having your spouse do so. Each of these living wills has a “presumption of life” – i.e., when in doubt, doctors, family members, etc. are to err on the side of keeping you alive.
In the event of a tragedy, you may be able to spare your loved ones a good deal of pain and mental anguish if you’re thusly equipped.
