It’s official: I’ve shipped Elbee Elgee version 1.3.6. After trials and tribulations aplenty, it’s finally ready to go. Hit the official download page to grab a copy, or go to your Updates page to automatically upgrade.
While it would be tempting to call this a simple bugfix, there are several things to note. From the release notes:
- Features Added
- Greater CSS flexibility (selectors aren’t as specific, allowing for easier child theming)
- Issues Fixed
- BuddyPress “Load More” link in Activity streams actually, you know, loads more.
- bbPress support updated for all the proper bbP hooks, so certain plugins that weren’t working before now POOF magically work again.
- Default search results if nothing is found were… blank. D’oh! Fixed.
- BuddyPress Groups widget AJAX now works to load groups on the fly.
So, download away and, as always, let me know if you run into any issues!
PS: Please, if you like my theme and/or find it useful, go to the official page and give it a rating — there’s only a single, solitary rating thus far. I’d be much obliged.
Huzzah! Elbee Elgee 1.3.6 Released http://t.co/rHn3I7bF
My “Primary Navigation Menu” Main Menu broke with the latest Elbee Elgee theme update. Menu items that previously displayed horizontally are now displayed in a vertical list. Is there an option fix that I haven’t found?
Chad:
What browser? What OS? Do you have a public URL that I could check out to see what the issue is?
Haw you cleared your cache and forced a reload? I have noticed similar behavior when my browser didn’t clear its cache (particularly Chrome).
The problem corrected itself when I added one more link to the menu.
The issue arose on chrome, windows 7, 64bit –
At this website: http://www.ergut.org/
Sounds like it was a cache issue, yup.
Site’s looking great, too, by the way!
I’m having the same problems as Chad. I’ve tried rebuilding the menus completely and it’s still listing things horizontally.
I’ve tried 3 separate computers, using IE Explorer, Firefox and Chrome
Rich:
Do you have any caching plugins installed? Is it the website linked to in your profile? It looks correct to me from here…
No caching plug-ins. It’s the swanton.net site that’s in my profile.
Under “Departments” and “Public Safety” I’m seeing things arranged in a block, half horizontal & half veriticle
Rich:
Looking into it. Are all those menu items at the same “level”? That is to say, are they all simply “children” of the Departments/Public Safety menu items?
Rich:
I don’t know how it happened, but it looks like you’ve got older versions of the CSS files.
Can you try to re-upload the theme? In particular, the fact that the YUI CSS reset stuff is still in your
style.css
and not instyles/ng-base.css
is a dead giveaway. Thanks – I had tried re-installing through WordPress with no luck. I downloaded the .zip from here and installed that one and it took care of it.
Thanks for letting me know. Glad it worked out!
Hi Doug,
I seem to be having the same menu problem.
I’ve tried reinstalling from your zip file on this site, and i’ve also tried deleting the elbee folder via ftp and then reinstalling, but no joy.
I wonder if you could cast your eye over my site (http://www.stjosephspontefract.co.uk)? Any advice that you could offer would be greatly appreciated.
Richard
Richard:
Evidence suggests this is a legit bug. Keep track of my progress on it here:

Hi Doug,
Thanks for your reply, I have checked the above and seen the code stuff on there- forgive me for being thick, but do i copy the code into the old files on my server, or if I download another copy of the theme and install it, will it fix it?
Thanks
R
Richard:
I’ve submitted 1.3.7 to the theme repo for approval, so for the time being, you don’t need to do anything. The fix should be showing up in the form of an update to the theme as soon as the Theme Review Team takes a look.
Thanks!
Doug,
Im pleased to say that i have installed 1.3.7 and the issue has been resolved. Thank you for your hard work and a wonderful WordPress theme!
Richard
