I thought I had a pretty good blogging groove going there for a bit, with at least once-daily posts going up, but my wife and child have been sick since the beginning of last week, meaning that my moments of downtime have hovered somewhere between slim and none. Wife had a 102° F fever from Thursday through Monday, when we finally got her in to see our PCP, who almost immediately diagnosed her as having either 1) a very severe sinus infection or 2) strep throat. He didn’t bother running throat cultures, as the treatment for both ailments was precisely the same: thrice-daily amoxicillin, Tylenol and The Tussin. This nasty cocktail appears to be bearing fruit, as she’s slowly coming back to normal.
In any event, things are unlikely to improve, posting-wise, in the near term future, as I’m swamped at work and at home, meaning that I’ll have to slip in posts when time allows.
