Update On My Main Squeeze’s Foot

I’ve been out of comission for most of the day since I had to take my wife to the orthopaedist’s today for another checkup. I’ve been telecommuting all day and our VPN setup apparently isn’t cut out to handle me accessing my site, so I had to hold off on posting until this evening.
The good news is that my wife’s foot looks like it’s going to be fine. The CAT scan and follow-up X-rays showed all the bones to be lined up correctly and no additional tissue/ligament damage was detected, meaning that she won’t be needing surgery. She’ll be in a cast for 7-9 weeks or so and then probably have to get a specialized shoe and walk with the aid of a cane for a while, but no physical therapy will be necessary, which is a good thing.
Our church has been awesome to us, with many of the other moms lining up to come visit my wife at home and the church’s hospitality ministry stepping up and providing us with meals through at least the end of this month. They’ve been an answer to prayer and a real blessing to us.
Thanks for all of y’all’s kind words, wishes and prayers for us. They mean a lot.
