Glenn Reynolds posted some links to some photo galleries of the Northern Lights captured by bloggers this year. Apparently, the sun has been very magnetically active this year and is pumping out a lot of particles which are making the Lights more intense than usual.
If you’ve never seen the Northern Lights before, I highly recommend that you, at some point in your life, take time out of your schedule and put yourself in a place to see them.
I’ve seen them twice in my life – once in Minnesota (very, very faintly) and once in northern Quebec. They rank as some of the eeriest, most awe-inspiring moments in my life and it’s extremely hard to describe the experience to someone who hasn’t witnessed them firsthand.
